Hello Beautiful People! ππ³οΈββ§οΈ
There's a particular kind of light that shows up in September β softer, angled differently, like the world is exhaling after a long, bright summer. For a lot of us, this month carries that same feeling: a quiet turning inward, a chance to come home to ourselves.
We're especially excited this month because Queering Recovery officially launches on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of September. This space has been months in the making, and it exists because recovery β from substances, from trauma, from the exhausting work of surviving in a world that isn't always built for us β deserves a room where folx don't have to explain themselves before they can heal. If you or someone you love could use that kind of room, we'd love to see you there.
September also happens to be Recovery Month nationally, which feels like good timing rather than coincidence. Recovery isn't just about addiction β it's about all the ways we come back to ourselves after being pulled away, whether by grief, by masking, by systems that asked us to be smaller than we are. Coming home to yourself can look like a lot of things: a new routine, a hard boundary, a Tuesday night in community with people who get it.
As always, this newsletter is a place for that β practical resources alongside the reminder that you don't have to do any of this alone. Inside this issue: everything you need to know about Queering Recovery, a brand new BIPOC Trans Gender Expansive group, a new partnership with UNDEAD voices and a look at what's brewing with The Campfire as our youngest folx settle into fall.
However September finds you β steady, shaky, or somewhere in between β we're glad you're here.

Self-Care Spotlight:
Coming Home to Yourself
September has a way of nudging us toward routine β new schedules, shorter days, that back-to-school energy even if school isn't part of your life anymore. This month, let self-care mean something quieter than a spa day: it's the practice of returning.
Try this: once a day, pause and ask yourself, "What do I actually need right now?" Not what you should need. Not what's productive. Just β what's true.
September is also Recovery Month, which is a good reminder that self-care isn't always soft or pretty. Recovery isn't just about drugs and alcohol. It's about any behavior that is getting in the way of you living your best life.
Whatever "coming home to yourself" looks like this month, we hope you find a little more steadiness, a little more softness, and people around you who get it.
